Governor Sanford's Letter of Endorsement

I wanted to write to you today to let you know about a friend of mine who is running for the State House of Representatives who needs our help.

Tim Scott is a consistent conservative who will carry our values to the State House.

Tim has served on Charleston County Council for thirteen years. During his tenure, he has never voted to raise taxes.  At a time when the current Legislature has grown state government spending by over 40% in the past three years alone, we desperately need the dose of fiscal responsibility that Tim can bring to the House.

Tim is also a proven social conservative who will stand up for the family values that help to make our state a great place to live and work. 

Because of his strong stands on conservative issues, I have endorsed Tim’s candidacy for the House.  Today, I am asking for you to join us in supporting Tim, both with your vote and with your financial contributions. 

Campaigns like these require resources, but I believe help to his candidacy to be a worthwhile investment in our state’s future.  I have enclosed a reply card and return envelope for your convenience.

Thank you for supporting conservative causes and candidates, and for your willingness to consider supporting Tim Scott.  Our state needs transformative change to compete effectively in the 21st century, and with your help Tim is a candidate who can help long over due changes to South Carolina government.  I appreciate you considering this.
